Girls Varsity SoccerMy report is just that we are doing well and starting regionals Wednesday this week. If we advance (which we should), we could face GBS this Saturday at 10 A.M. We did defeat GBS in the Glenbrook Cup - first time EVER for girls Varsity!

Tied conference, but had best goal differential, so we played NT and lost 3-1. 1-1 at the half bit was 1-0 almost the whole first half. Strong game and hope to meet them again this year.

We are currently 11-2-4
Losses to NT and Loyola

Athletic Director's Report

Construction on the gyms began today.  New lights and painting first, then the floor will be ripped up.  Tennis court construction starts tomorrow.

Mark and Lori Spencer are going to be the new Booster Club Presidents!

The CSL has adopted a new admissions policy.  Admission will be $5 for adults, $2 for kids, which is an increase from $3 for adults and $2 for kids (last increase was approximately 25 years ago).  However, Booster Club passes will now be honored at seasonal tournaments at GBN and GBS.  Football, girls and boys basketball and wrestling are charged admission.

CSL Conference realignment – the Conference used to be aligned by student enrollment, new formula is 50% success factor, 50% enrollment.  Four schools will be effected HP, GBN, Niles West and Niles North.  Niles North will move down due to lack of success.  It’s close between Highland Park and GBN.  The move will occur in fall 2019. This potential move will be good for certain sports, bad for some.

New alignment for football is being proposed regarding the playoffs, John is attending a IHSA meeting regarding this issue. 16 Athletic Directors, 8 principals attending.

May 1 Signing Day =  15 seniors at signing day.  It was a success to have all signings occur at the same time.

Susan adjourned the meeting at 7:47 pm.
